I'll be honest, there is no point in spending $120 to power a theme deck for tournament play, how ever a a mess around deck against some of your mates, it can be satisfying to nerf you're mates meta deck with a deck that will never see tournament play, granted the likely hood of this happening is slim, but its still there.
Below is a video on how I powered up a Empoleon theme deck with meta relevant cards! I show the difference in the decks and how it should be used. I hope you guys enjoy!
Don't get me wrong, forbidden lights is awesome and we all know the pull rates are fucking amazing but I find my self going back to Ultra Prism time and time again. It's not for the full arts or secrets rares, but for me its all about the holos, rares, uncommons and commons, why? i hear you ask, well because this set is so good for budget deck builing and maily because of Alolan Dugtrio.
You may of seen my past video where I did a deck profile on it, since then I've had a few more games and unless you're running a full powered top tier deck, alolan dugtrio is hard to over come, you need to get in fast and hit hard, other wise the second those energies hit your opponents hands you're done. You're only pray is that they dump all there engeries into to the discard pile and can't find any energy recovery cards.
There are also so many other nice cards in this set, like the full art lille and the ever elusive gold cards.

In my time I've opened many booster boxes and I can't help but feel that forbidden light has some of the best pull of any set out there (for the moment and exculding shining legends). This got me wondering, which was the worst set for pulls?
Sun and moon era I'd have to Crimson Invasion, I've never pulled anything good for any of those boxes, vintage wise I'd say Jungle as holos were really hard to find, but in a box you'd get a few. Now of all time it has to be had down XY base set, it was awful, I've opened 6 boxes, and each box had the same ratio, 4 EX (not FA's) and 1 FA, which was awesome if you pulled the blastoise or the venasaur, but the other were a bit meh. 5 good cards out of 36 packs is just ridiculous. I'm glad the Pokemon company never made that mistake again.
